History
DBC History page
Davis Bike Club has its origins in the early 1970s. The Double Century preceded the Davis Bike Club and was started by the Cal Aggie Wheelmen in 1969. DBC took over running the DC when the Cal Aggie Wheelmen went defunct. DBC operated for several years as an informal organization until May of 1979 when it filed Articles of Incorporation with the State of California, and became incorporated as DAVIS BIKE CLUB, INC., a non-profit organization exempt under article 501(c)(4) of the Internal revenue Code. The original Directors were Ronald Johnson, Richard Waters, Helen Pool, Eileen Garvey, and Barbara Waters.
