The Fast-Pace ride heads northwest out of Davis along County Roads 29, 99, and 25 out to Plainfield Elementary School and eventually out to the Yolo Flier's Club of County Road 94b. From there, the route winds north and east to the town of Yolo, then south again to Woodland for a snack at Morrison's Deli with the early group riders. The pace can get quick on the outbound leg, especially from where it turns south on Road 17 near Yolo until it hits Woodland.
After the break, the ride pace relaxes a little for the final 12 miles back to Davis . . . unless there's a good northwesterly blowing. Ride regroups as necessary to make sure no one is left behind.
