How to post board minutes
Instructions on posting board minutes to the DBC website. Please follow all directions so the iutes end up in the right place and in the correct order (reverse chronological).
- Save the minutes as a PDF on your computer. Title the document in the following format: "minutes_year_month" The year and month should be in two digit format. So "November 2010 Board Minutes" would be titled "minutes_10_11". Remember to use underscores and not leave any spaces in the name.
- Log in to the DBC website
- Navigate to the Board Minutes folder
- Under "add new", select "file"
- On the "new file" page, fill in the form entries as follows:
- Short name: Leave blank
- Title: This is important – use the following format: "minutes_year_month" The year and month should be in two digit format. So "November 2010 Board Minutes" would be titled "minutes_10_11"
- Description: It's a good idea to add a description, though it looks like no one has up to October 2010. The description should just be one line: "Minutes from the [date] meeting of the DBC board of directors." Though not essential, this helps for searches.
- Choose File: Find the file on your computer and click "select"
- Save: If you don't click on Save at the end of all this, you have to start over. If you did your job right, the file should now appear at the top of the list on the Board Minutes page
